Sarum St Paul's CofE (VA) Primary School

St Paul's Church

St Paul’s Church and Sarum St Paul’s School have enjoyed a close and supportive partnership for many years. We share a simple aim: to see every child, every member of staff, and every family flourish — not only academically, but spiritually, emotionally and socially.

As the local parish church, we are actively involved in the life of the school. Several members of our congregation — including me — serve as Governors, work on the school staff team, or have children at the school. If you are part of the school community, we already see you as part of our wider church family.

Each week, a member of our church team leads Collective Worship linked to the school’s curriculum. We love being welcomed into school, and it is always a privilege to host key events in our church building, such as the Year 6 Leavers’ Celebration and services for major Christian festivals. The children play a central role in these occasions, and their creativity and confidence always shine.

St Paul’s Church is a lively, friendly and contemporary place to worship, with excellent children’s and youth programmes. Our main Service is on Sunday at 10.30am.  If you are curious about the Christian faith, we offer a range of short courses and resources — including Alpha, which we have run for over 20 years and which has helped millions of people worldwide explore life, faith and meaning.

For families with younger children, our Ark Toddler Group meets every Wednesday morning in the church and provides a warm, welcoming space for parents, carers and little ones. In our community centre, The Hope Centre, located at 159–161 Fisherton Street, we partner with Imagine This, a Family Hub offering support for early years development, special educational needs, mother‑and‑baby care, and opportunities to connect with other families.

We are also home to Salisbury Foodbank on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and we work closely with Christians Against Poverty (CAP), a national charity offering free, confidential debt advice.

If you would like to know more about St Paul’s Church, or if we can support you in any way, we would be delighted to hear from you. We look forward to welcoming your family to Sarum St Paul’s School and are confident that your child will thrive and flourish as they learn and grow during their time here.
