Church Inspection (SIAMS)
As a Church of England Primary School, we are inspected through the Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS). While Ofsted evaluates the overall quality of education, SIAMS considers how effectively our Christian vision shapes every aspect of school life and enables children and adults to flourish.
At Sarum St Paul's, our vision, Rooted in Love, Growing Together, is at the heart of everything we do. Inspired by the words of St Paul in Ephesians 3:17-18, we seek to create a school community where every child and adult is rooted in God's love, grows in confidence and character and is encouraged to flourish academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually.
What Does SIAMS Look At?
SIAMS explores how our Christian vision is lived out across the whole school community, including:
-
The impact of our vision on the wellbeing and flourishing of pupils, staff and the wider community.
-
The quality of collective worship and opportunities for spiritual development.
-
The effectiveness of Religious Education.
-
How we create an inclusive culture where every individual is known, valued and respected.
-
How our vision inspires courageous advocacy, service and responsibility towards others.
Rather than focusing solely on outcomes, SIAMS considers how the school's Christian foundation influences decisions, relationships and the daily experiences of everyone within our community.
Living Our Vision Every Day
Our Christian vision is not simply a statement on a wall. It shapes the way we learn, the way we care for one another and the decisions we make each day.
Across our school you will see our vision reflected through:
-
A welcoming and inclusive community where every child is known and valued.
-
A broad and ambitious curriculum that enables every child to achieve their potential.
-
Collective worship that encourages reflection, prayer and spiritual growth.
-
Strong relationships built on kindness, respect and forgiveness.
-
Opportunities for children to develop leadership, responsibility and serve others.
-
A commitment to supporting the wellbeing of every member of our school community.
Our SIAMS Inspection
Our most recent SIAMS inspection took place in 2019, when the school was judged to be Excellent.
We are proud of this recognition and continue to build on these strengths as we develop our school and live out our Christian vision each day.
